The Skateboard Block:How to Skateboard

Find a good place to skate. A level concrete driveway would be nice. To make sure there is nothing else on the road, also pay attention to the road for cracks, loose stones or holes, etc.

Consider getting a skateboarder you know to teach you how to play. Ask skateboarders at your local store or park to see if you can watch them play. Bring some beginners and ask them if they are practicing intermediate or advanced techniques, and if so, best so you can find a teacher.

Master basic skills
Find the most comfortable position to stand in. You can stand any way you want, as long as you are balanced and comfortable. Most people like to have their feet on the stand.

See which foot you are suitable for boosting with. This foot pushes on the ground and the other balances on the drawing board. Most skateboarders use their back feet to assist.

Start with a suitable speed. Take it slow at first so you don’t fall over too quickly. Just put the booster foot in the direction you want to move forward, and slowly step on the ground and pedal back. The other foot will turn on its own.

Bend your knees. This keeps the center of gravity close to the ground, making turns easier and easier to balance.

Keep your balance and don’t fall.

Figure out how to turn. Turn towards that side by twisting the center of gravity to the side.

Learn how to stop. You can stop when your back foot is on the ground. Or tilt the head of the skateboard, and the tail can stop by rubbing the ground, but this is more dangerous and will cause the skateboard to wear badly. This method is not recommended.

Practice it. You can often find slow-motion videos to pay attention to your footsteps and learn. Slow-motion sequence diagrams are also a good way to learn, but basically the more you practice, the better. Don’t be discouraged by the first or second failure, practice and have fun, and eventually you will learn.
